I learned about Christopher Columbus in fourth grade and the main part of the lesson was that he questioned authority. In fact one of the most important ideas that he had is still a little difficult to understand: He said, “The world is round.” He also said, “You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
